Day 9

Well not much new today, Lil L is just resting today...she has had to have a few insulin injections because her blood sugar is high, but that's because they pump alot of sugar in them to make them grow, so it's normal to have to get some insulin!!!
Dad got to do his first diaper change today got lots of pictures...he did really good and then he rubbed her down with the aquaphor to keep her skin moist. It was so cute to watch!!! He's such a great daddy already!!!
Well gotta go hang with Miss Lexi...

  1. Hello to both of you, not sure if Robert will remember me, but I am a friend of Ben Ganders. We went through this with our little guy back in May of this year. He was born at 24 weeks. To keep this short, I will just give you three little things that kept us sane and helped the long journey pass quickly.

Have Hope - it will be slow at first, but as time passes you will see big strides, and set backs, and big strides and set backs. But always keep Hope high and you will get through it!

Laughter - Try to laugh as much as possible with family and friends and each other! It helps ease the stress.

Ask Questions - ask 10,000 questions a day, it will make you feel better about knowing whats going on, my wife and i swear we could be doctors after 4 months in the NICU.

If you guys need anything please feel free to contact me Ben has my phone #, my email is onlyuni06@yahoo.com. We also have our entire story on our Blog dsalbrecht.blogspot.com if you would like to see the process.

We will keep you in our prayers, trust me they work! Best wishes and luck to you and your family and baby Lexi.

  2. Hello. I just wanted to drop a quick note to say that we are thinking about all of you. We have been through the micropremie experience and we are still going through the experience. Jess's nephew was born at the same weight as your little girl. Going through the struggles has brought everyone so much closer. The Dr.s and Nurses are amazing people. If there is anything that we can do to help out, please let us know. Robert should have Keye's number.
    Love,
Keye (used to work with Robert) and Jess
